Keeping it simple, a bitmap image (like a photo) is made up of lots of coloured dots. A vector image is made of lines with 2 points, the start and the end, it is basically a mathematical calculation. If you expand an image made from lots of dots, it losses quality the larger you make it and becomes pixelated. A vector image doesn’t lose quality no matter how large you expand it.
We can usually re-create your logo in vector format for a fee of £20 +vat, please email artwork@perfectpixelplus.co.uk to discuss.
Our Xerox copier prints up to A3 (297 x 420mm)
The bleed is the section beyond the image that gets cut off after printing, this allows the printer to print to the edge of the artwork. Usually you will be asked for at least a 3mm bleed all around. This means something 100mm x 100mm needs to have artwork of 106mm x 106mm.
CMYK are the printers ink colours CYAN, MAGENTA, YELLOW AND BLACK. Artwork to be supplied to a printer needs to be saved as CMYK, otherwise there might be a colour variation in your print.
RGB, RED GREEN and BLUE are used for digital artwork displayed on a screen.
Pantone is a colour matching system, this ensures that if you specify a pantone reference, you always get the same colour using a colour code.
Before printing we check file format, file size, resolution and fonts. Unfortunately we do not check spelling and grammar errors and cannot be held responsible for these.
No. This is your responsibility.
We print on a wide range of materials such as vinyls, canvas, pvc and poster paper, then mount onto materials such as ACM (Aluminium Composite Material), foamex, acrylic and correx.

A premium quality, PVC foam sheet ideal for printing onto or applying self-adhesive vinyl graphics. It is easy to bend, cut, drill and glue. It is a high quality material used for longer-term signs. Unlike Correx the Foamex surface is totally smooth enabling a higher quality of print
“Correx” typically refers to a brand of twin-wall, corrugated plastic sheeting. It’s a lightweight but durable material that’s often used for a variety of applications such as:
Signage: Due to its lightweight, durability, and ability to be printed on, Correx is often used for making temporary outdoor signs, like estate agent signs or construction site signs.
Protection: It’s used as protective flooring or wall covering during building or renovation works because it’s resistant to moisture and offers some impact protection.
Packaging: It can be used as a protective layer or separator in packaging for items that might be delicate or need some cushioning.
Storage: Correx boxes or containers can be created for storage solutions.
Correx has similarities to cardboard in terms of its corrugated structure, but it’s made of plastic, making it more resistant to moisture and wear-and-tear. It’s also recyclable in many areas, depending on local recycling capabilities and regulations.
Composite material made of a rigid polyethylene core between two thin aluminium panels. A truly premium material, it is durable, weatherproof and its smooth finish results in excellent print quality.
A rigid plastic, 25 times tougher than glass and much lighter. Available in clear or opal.
